It’s hard for me to believe that I’m already half-way through my Ultimate Reset. It’s even harder for me to believe that this is my FOURTH time doing this 21 day Restart, Recharge, Reset as part of my annual Spring Cleaning. And perhaps most surprising is that my family actually doesn’t want me to move next door this time (or at least I hope not!) I will admit that the combination of eliminating my beloved coffee plus pulling back on the intensity of my workouts is usually not a good combination for me. So the first time I did this 21 day cleanse, I was pretty much a BEAR to live with!
So what is different this time? I know this program is legit and it works, and so I’m trusting the process. My body always feels amazing when I’m finished because I have cleansed the toxins and allowed my body to truly rest and restore itself. So rather than think about what I can’t have or do, I’m embracing all of the goodness that I DO get to have and experience.
It’s amazing what your body can do in just 21 days. I’ve also done the 21 Day Fix a few times, and what I’ve learned is that my body and eating style is actually better suited to the Reset. It allows me to fill UP on veggies which make me feel full. (And this girl likes to feel full!) There were days on the Fix when I was angry that I only got 3 green containers! Just being honest. I could eat that in just one meal alone! Since the Reset focuses on fruits and veggies, I’m in my happy place. I love the recipes and the food just really tastes amazing!
It helps that a few of my friends are also doing it at the same time as I am, and for me, that accountability is KEY! Just knowing that I’m not alone in this journey is SO helpful to me! So far, I’m down 8 pounds, enjoying some amazing sleep (which if you know me doesn’t always happen) and feeling more in control since I’ve eliminated those vicious BLTS (Bites, Licks, Tastes, and Sips) that usually take me off track.
