This isn’t easy for me to share, but I feel like I need to in case you can relate. I love to workout. But I don’t workout for a number on the scale. I workout because it keeps me sane and makes me feel healthy and strong. I don’t weigh myself because I tend to become a slave to the scale, and it makes me lose my focus. But recently I had to go for my annual exam and be weighed– and imagine my surprise (horror) when I got on the scale and I was at my highest weight since I can last remember.
I’m ashamed to say that there were tears, and I let it defeat me and steal my joy. As much as I preach that we should NOT base our self-worth on a number on the scale, I did. But then I had to get really honest with myself. My problem is that I have not been focusing on my nutrition as much as I should be. Over the winter, I have allowed myself too many BLTS (Bites, Licks, and Tastes) and I needed to dial-in my nutrition in a BIG way. Since starting the Ultimate Reset and being accountable to others in a fitness support group, I’m already feeling SO much better! I want to share that with YOU!
