I often get asked what books I like to read and how in the world I find the time to read them. Throughout my own fitness and health journey, I’ve learned that growing internally is just as important as growing externally. I believe that we all have room for growth and in order to stay on track in many areas of your life (Faith, health, being a wife and mom, etc.), you need to consistently dig into Personal Development and continue to grow.
For me personally, a day without personal development feels just as empty as a day without a workout. In different seasons of my life, I focus on different areas of growth. I do most of my reading and personal time with God first thing in the morning. This helps me begin my day on the right note and also gives me uninterrupted time to get it done. My boys and husband don’t need me at 5 am. While it isn’t always easy to get up early, I always regret not getting in this personal growth time at the beginning of my day.
