I don’t know about you, but in order for me to stay motivated for my workouts, I constantly need to be changing it up, and these workouts need to be FUN! That’s one reason why I’m SOOOO excited about our newest program launching in November called CORE DE FORCE.
“CORE DE FORCE is an explosive mixed martial arts-inspired total body workout designed by Beachbody Super Trainers Joel Freeman and Jericho McMatthews (from the original Les Mills Pump) to blast fat and carve your waist in just 30 days – with no equipment.”
And let me just tell you, when it says “total body workout” it means it! I tried the first Sneak Peek of this program a couple of weeks ago and man was my entire body sore…from punching air! Crazy, right?!?! I’m excited to mix things up in my own routine and give this program a try! I’m sure you have a few questions about it so below are answers to some common questions about this new program:
Who is this program for?
The amazing thing about Core De Force is that it is for EVERYONE! You can be a beginner and follow the modifier or maybe you are a graduate of Insanity Max 30, TurboFire or P90X. Whatever your fitness level, I promise you will get something out of this program.
What is this workout designed to do?
The goal of this program is to give you strong, lean muscle mass. It will help you lean and strengthen all over your body. It is also designed to help you lose weight. One of the trainers, Jericho, started creating this program only a few months after having her first baby. This program helps to tone and tighten your midsection without having to do 1,000 crunches. I also love how the style of it is designed to transform you from the inside out! MMA moves will give you the confidence and empowerment that most of us crave!!
How long is the program?
It’s only 30 days long but is recommended to do multiple rounds (similar to the 21 Day Fix program).
What can I expect in each workout?
There are 10 workouts included, which are setup in 3 minute rounds. Similar to how a boxer/MMA fighter would train, the idea is to go hard for 3 minutes then have a brief rest before starting the next round. At the end of each round is a “spike move” which is intended to increase your heart rate. This program is similar to HIIT (high intensity interval training) training, which has been proven to burn more calories and fat over a shorter time than having to spend hours in the gym each day.
What types of workouts are included?
Boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai combinations – Bodyweight training that can sculpt and tone – Explosive cardio in intervals to max out your calorie burn.
How long are the workouts?
Each workout is between 30-45 minutes long.
Is there a modifier?
The great thing about this workout is there are a variety of levels to follow, including a modifier. Similar to the 21 Day Fix program, the modifier isn’t at her goal weight and is a real person just like you and me! The program is fairly low-impact too (with some higher impact moves), so everything can be modified to fit your fitness level and capabilities.
Is there equipment required?
NO! I love programs that don’t require anything other than myself. All you need is your body and room to kick, punch and move around.
And the biggest question of all…is there a Meal Plan included??
YES! There will be a meal plan included with the Core De Force workout. Similar to some of the other newer programs, the meal plan is based around the Portion Control containers. It will give you detailed instructions on how many containers within each food group you need to eat in order to lose weight or meet whatever fitness goal you may have. It will also have recipes including some of Joel and Jericho’s favorites. This is the best way to make healthy eating a lifestyle and not a short-term diet. Plus you’re going to need a lot of healthy fuel to get you through these intense workouts!
